Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Direct answers to the questions we receive most often. If yours is not addressed here, include it in the form and we will respond directly.

What does a first engagement look like?

Engagements begin with scope. We assess the environment as it exists and the obligations that apply, and you receive a written assessment of current state before any work is proposed. From there, work proceeds as a defined engagement with a durable deliverable, or as an ongoing arrangement sized to your requirements.

Do you replace our IT team or work with them?

We work with them. What we design and deploy is built so the people already running your IT can operate it, and we document what we change as we change it. Where a team wants standing security ownership, that is an explicit arrangement, not a takeover by default.

Can you certify us for CMMC?

No, and no engineering firm can. Certification assessments are performed by accredited third-party assessment organizations. Our job is different: designing, building, and operating your environment so the controls are real and the evidence is ready when the assessment happens.

How is work structured?

Two ways. A defined engagement covers an assessment, a roadmap, or a remediation with a written scope and a clear deliverable. Ongoing work is a standing arrangement for organizations that need security decisions handled month to month, with scope set together and revisited as it changes.

How do you use AI in your work?

AI accelerates how we build and deliver, and it never becomes the authority. Deterministic systems gate what ships, AI output is treated as untrusted input until verified, and an engineer stays in the loop. The same principle shapes WysperHub.

Do we need WysperHub to work with you?

No. The services practice stands on its own. WysperHub is a separate product in development, and we will provide a direct assessment of whether it fits your monitoring requirements.
